The world is a book - and those who don’t travel read only a page.”

The more I travel, the more I want to see. Traveling is truly addicting, and has opened my eyes to sooo many beautiful people, places, cultures, experiences, lessons, learnings, and perspectives. Fall 2019, I achieved my goal of visiting 30 countries before turning 30 during my solo trip to Morroco (at 28 years old). Much of my international travel has been solo, and doing so has been super liberating, freeing, and fulfilling. When traveling for work, I always make it a habit to add on a personal trip, so I am make the most opportunity of experiencing a new site, location, or country. Never be afraid to travel alone, you don’t have to wait for others to go on that trip - go for it! Also, I encourage one to wander when traveling - some of the most beautiful travel sites and memories I’ve experienced were sparked as a result of me simply detouring from the planned destination I had at that moment - and venturing off for adhoc exploring. Be adventurous. The world is yours to see.

“Fashion is a way of expressing yourself without having to say a word.”

Fashionista.

Fashion is art, and a form of expression. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for style. As a creative, I think it’s important for one to be able to express their personality and taste in all forms - so when you walk into a room people can already get a glimpse of who you are. I would describe my style as versatile, fun, and, vibrant. I like to switch things up, and love colors, patterns, and prints — and above all, Ankara fashion. The vivid colors and unique patterns of Ankara fashion rooted from the African culture and my heritage has made me an extreme lover of all things Ankara these past several years. I love my heels, but also am versatile — so I will rock flats and sneaks every now and then, as I have an extensive collection of 200+ shoes (yes 200+). Be confident. Be bold. Be you.

Career.

I am a global marketer in tech and an events guru. I’ve curated over 50+ events, worked across global teams & executives, managed conferences, and company-wide programs. Some of my most passionate projects have included my women-in-tech work, such as formally creating a global program: #tech4girls - and more recently leading a newly formed Diversity & Inclusion Council as the global Racial Equality Employee Resource Group lead.

Music.

Music is life. I've been singing ever since I can remember. Having grown up in the church, I would definitely describe my voice as soulful with a gospel flair. I attribute some of my vocal influences to artists Lauryn Hill, India Arie, John P. Kee, Fantasia, and more. I do hope that showcasing my talents can and will inspire others to creatively use their gifts to reach their fullest potential. YouTube Page updates with my full music showcase coming soon!

Blackness.

I couldn’t be prouder to be Black. I am proud of my roots, and boldly rooted in Blackness. Being Black is such a beautiful, vibrant thing. Our heritage, our culture, our versatility, and unwavering resilience is unmatched and like no other. I vow to continue to learn more about our history, and our dynamic ancestors. I love being Black and all it encompasses - and will continue to advocate for us. Unapologetically Black, unapologetically me.

It's a beautiful day to be beautifully Black.

A soulful singer.

As I build my YouTube library of solos, here’s a video of my rendition of the classic, gospel song “I Know I’ve Been Changed”. Stayed tuned for more updates soon on my YouTube channel!.
